I finished up both Simply Babies that I have been working on!

As I mentioned before, these are the last 2 babies for 2013.  I have been working both day and night non-stop to make Christmas dreams come true!  WHEW!  Being an elf is a hard and tiring job!  I LOVE it though!

So without further ado, here are the babies !  I must say I am quite pleased with how they both turned out!

Here is the baby from the Elsie sculpt.  She is 18 inches long and weighs 3 pounds 11 ounces.

Here is the baby from the Raine sculpt.  She is 21 inches long and weighs 4 pounds 10 ounces.

Last 2 babies of 2013!

Here are my last 2 babies to be reborn in 2013.  The first one is an Elsie kit that is an internet custom order Simply Baby  for an adult.  The second baby is a local custom order Simply Baby   for a 9 year old little girl by her grandmother.  Here they are after I have been painting skin tones.  These are flash photos.

The Playborns are Finished!

The new Mommy's will be giving their babies their names.  The smaller baby is preemie sized at 16 inches and weighs 1 lb 10 oz.  The larger baby is newborn sized at 20 inches and weighs 2 lbs 10 oz.  Here are photos that were taken this morning before they are to be delivered.

Both babies have 1/4 limbs and soft cloth bodies.  Here is a close up toesies shot of the larger baby to give you an idea of feet detailing.

2 Playborns in progress

This weekend has been exceptionally busy!  I have had a couple Christmas events to attend as well as my regular day to day activities.  I have also been painting on 2 playborns for my hair dresser's little girls.  They and their mother live with their grandmother whose home caught on fire recently.  Most everything was destroyed from fire or smoke damage and the girls lost all their dolls among the many other things the family has lost.  I am working on these 2 babies with the help of donations from JaNan Duncan and Carmen McNair who both so graciously donated things like parts and clothing for these babies.  Here are the babies so far but they are far from being finished.  Their heads are not attached in these photos and their glosses are still wet.  Also, I noticed some paint touch ups I need to do around the mouth creases on the preemie baby. Alas, as I am so famous for doing these photos were taken at night with a flash.  They are not the best for color represenation but hey, you get the idea!
