Finished Brayden and Clowning around!

I finished up little Brayden and try as I might I could not make this baby a girl so boy it is!
I had a heck of a time rooting his hair!  His vinyl just did not want to hold the hair well and I ended up trying several kinds of needles and breaking lots of them too!  In the end he got some sparse hair and is now on lay away with a new prospective Mommy.  Here are a few photos.

I have also started working on a new reborn that will eventually be a clown baby.  This is for a class I am taking on the CORA forum on how to paint a clown face reborn.  It will be a fun reborn that can be enjoyed by those adults and older kids who love clowns.  So far I have his/her skin tones laid down and will be starting to work on her clown face tomorrow.  I am using the Fawn kit for this one because she has such a happy face.

I am loving this Brayden Russell kit!

I have decided my baby will be a girl!  I got her all finished painting and put together today except her head it not attached.  I am going to root her some hair.  She is just a wonderful sculpt!  Here are some progress photos taken indoors with a flash so that you might fall in love with her too!  You can click each photo for a larger image.

Painting Update

I t is now Saturday evening and I have been painting ALL DAY.  Here is the baby so far.  She/he is not finished but I am stopping for today.  I am overall pleased with her coloring and just have to do some touch ups and seal her with the matte varnish.    Here are some flash photos.  Click each photo to see it in larger/original version.

Painting again!

Good Saturday morning!  It is a hot, humid, icky day here at the Lil Dumplins Nursery! Today I decided I will start painting again and my first baby to work on since surgery will be Brayden Russell.  I have already lain down several flush layers and he is in the oven curing even as I type this.  He is a wonderful preemie sized sculpt with excellent detail.  I just love his fingers and toes and his double chin!  I will post progress photos as I go along but for now you readers will have to wait.  Stay posted for updates!  Hugs to all!
