Reborn Crystal Simply Baby™ with rooted hair

Just got her together today and took a few photos. This is a no-frills sale for a full reborn on a budget. She is basically a Simply Baby™ with hand rooted hair, which I rarely do on my Simply Babies™. I would love to sell her privately and not have to send her to Ebay. She is hand rooted 2-4 hairs per follicle and sparsely spaced so that you can see her scalp peeking through. 4 lbs 13 oz. I would like $299 plus shipping.

Crystal has hair!

Baby Crystal sculpt now has some rooted hair.  It is not micro rooted but it is rooted from the cut ends so it styles nicely.  Her hair is Lucy goat mohair from TNGUN.  I had to use my little camera phone to take these pictures because my battery charger died and I am waiting on a new one to arrive from Amazon so can charge my camera battery.

I just don't know where to go with this baby....

I am just not feeling the love on this one. First of all I am not too crazy about the sculpt. Secondly, no matter what I do to her paint wise I am not getting the feeling I get when one is coming to life. I dunno whether to finish her as a budget baby, root her some hair or sell her as a painted kit.

Truly Scrumptious Odessa is Born!

Though she was a difficult labor she was worth it!  Isn't she a Truly Scrumptious little baby girl!  
Born on May 9, 2014.  Baby weighs 4 lbs and 2 oz  and she is 20" long. 

Little Tru has been a trouble maker!

On my last post I told you all I would be rooting hair on little Tru.  Well I discovered that her vinyl just did not want to hold the mohair.  The more I would try to root the more she wound up with holes and no hair.  I tried several different types of needles and even tried a layer of glue inside her head but her vinyl was just not going to hold hair.  So instead I removed all her hair, sealed her head up with Genesis sealers and painted her some hair then sealed it again.  

I also discovered that Tru is not as big a baby as I had previously thought and the patriotic outfit is too big for her so she won't be going home in that one.   After trying several body styles and sizes on her I settled on this one and will be finishing her tomorrow.  Here is another sneak preview.

She is not put together yet so she wouldn't sit up well for this photo
