Little Tru has been a trouble maker!

On my last post I told you all I would be rooting hair on little Tru.  Well I discovered that her vinyl just did not want to hold the mohair.  The more I would try to root the more she wound up with holes and no hair.  I tried several different types of needles and even tried a layer of glue inside her head but her vinyl was just not going to hold hair.  So instead I removed all her hair, sealed her head up with Genesis sealers and painted her some hair then sealed it again.  

I also discovered that Tru is not as big a baby as I had previously thought and the patriotic outfit is too big for her so she won't be going home in that one.   After trying several body styles and sizes on her I settled on this one and will be finishing her tomorrow.  Here is another sneak preview.

Tru Donofrio

I have been working to bring Tru Donofrio to life.   This baby is being created from a sold out Ltd. Edition kit. I do not have a COA for her as I bought her 2nd hand but she is still a great find! She is now painted and sealed with matte sealer.  I have yet to root her some hair.  I think she will make a nice patriotic baby.  I also have a monogrammed sleeper for her with the name Odessa on it so that will be her new name when she is finished.

My new office space

We went to IKEA and bought new office space units to try to get my area reorganized. I have never been so tired and sore as I am from putting this stuff together. Twisting screws and bolts with these little allen wrenches you have to use in the kit and crawling in the floor on my hands and knees has about done me in! After working day and night for 2 days I finally got my office and reborn doll area set up and re-organized. I never knew I had so much stuff crammed in so many places! Had to take these pics with the cell phone because the camera battery died.
