I finished up both Simply Babies that I have been working on!

As I mentioned before, these are the last 2 babies for 2013.  I have been working both day and night non-stop to make Christmas dreams come true!  WHEW!  Being an elf is a hard and tiring job!  I LOVE it though!

So without further ado, here are the babies !  I must say I am quite pleased with how they both turned out!

Here is the baby from the Elsie sculpt.  She is 18 inches long and weighs 3 pounds 11 ounces.

Here is the baby from the Raine sculpt.  She is 21 inches long and weighs 4 pounds 10 ounces.

Last 2 babies of 2013!

Here are my last 2 babies to be reborn in 2013.  The first one is an Elsie kit that is an internet custom order Simply Baby  for an adult.  The second baby is a local custom order Simply Baby   for a 9 year old little girl by her grandmother.  Here they are after I have been painting skin tones.  These are flash photos.

The Playborns are Finished!

The new Mommy's will be giving their babies their names.  The smaller baby is preemie sized at 16 inches and weighs 1 lb 10 oz.  The larger baby is newborn sized at 20 inches and weighs 2 lbs 10 oz.  Here are photos that were taken this morning before they are to be delivered.

Both babies have 1/4 limbs and soft cloth bodies.  Here is a close up toesies shot of the larger baby to give you an idea of feet detailing.

2 Playborns in progress

This weekend has been exceptionally busy!  I have had a couple Christmas events to attend as well as my regular day to day activities.  I have also been painting on 2 playborns for my hair dresser's little girls.  They and their mother live with their grandmother whose home caught on fire recently.  Most everything was destroyed from fire or smoke damage and the girls lost all their dolls among the many other things the family has lost.  I am working on these 2 babies with the help of donations from JaNan Duncan and Carmen McNair who both so graciously donated things like parts and clothing for these babies.  Here are the babies so far but they are far from being finished.  Their heads are not attached in these photos and their glosses are still wet.  Also, I noticed some paint touch ups I need to do around the mouth creases on the preemie baby. Alas, as I am so famous for doing these photos were taken at night with a flash.  They are not the best for color represenation but hey, you get the idea!

Adam Dawson is completed!

This is my 3rd silcione baby to paint. I rooted his eyelashes today but will be leaving his soft little head bald as I really like him this way. He is the 2nd one of the Dawson sculpt I have painted. I liked the name Adam so much that since I sold the other one I am calling this one Adam Dawson. He is preemie sized with a solid silicone head and 1/4 limbs. His body is soft and snuggly yet weighted to feel like a 3.6 lb preemie. I have been calling him my little peanut! I really do enjoy holding this little guy and he will be staying here in my own collection.

More Christmas Babies!

This has been a VERY busy weekend for me so far.  I was off work on Friday so I spent 10 hours on Friday and 7 hours today painting 2 Simply Babies for 2 kids' Santa gifts.  The Aubrey sculpt here is going to a older little girl and the little Berenguer preemie is for a 4 year old.  I only weighted the torso on the Berenguer and filled his limbs and head with poly fill.  He is 1 lb 14 oz.  The Aubrey baby is 4 lbs 11 oz.  and quite the chubber as Aubrey alway is!  Here are some very fast flash photos of the babies.

Here is the other doll for the other sister. These two are going to be delivered by Santa to 2 lovely little girls!  The second sculpt is the Blaze sculpt.  I am really pleased with how she turned out!

Aubrey sculpt finished

I finished up one of the children's reborns I have been working on this weekend.  This is a Simply Baby reborn with hand rooted hair.  The hair is not micro rooted.  I no longer offer rooted hair babies on the Simply Baby reborn line but this baby is for a special set of customers.   I love the Aubrey sculpt and think this one turned out adorable!

What Have I Been Doing?

I had Friday off and I have tomorrow off from my job. So, for the past 3 days I have been painting. I have 2 custom orders for Simply Baby reborns for 2 girls for Christmas. This is the 2nd time I have been commissioned to produce their Santa gifts.  Once they are finished they will be sent on to Santa who will handle the delivery.

I also pulled out my Kaelin sculpt I had on hand and painted her while I had the pallet of colors going. Here are all the babies' skin tones. I have yet to do nail tips, eybrows and seal them. The 2 custom babies will also get rooted hair - not micro rooted just hand rooted for kids. I am thinking of leaving Kaelin bald. She/he will go up on Ebay unless someone contacts me to buy her/him when finished.
